Q: Some of my friends are being very mean and acting like fake friends. What should I do? Should I leave them or stay friends?
A: Start by having a conversation with your friends. You may have misperceived the situation. Ask them if something is going on that is making them act differently. Communication is valuable. Although, if someone is treating you in a mean way and talking to them doesn’t help the situation, you may have to distance yourself from them to protect yourself. This should be done in a way that doesn’t cause more drama. You don’t have to be mean, or go behind their back and talk about them. Just go on about your life peacefully. It may take time to get over dropping a friend, but it may be the best way to deal with the situation if they are not willing to talk to you about it.
